This gripping medical drama revolves around Bashir “Bash” Hamed (Hamza Haqlisten)), a Syrian doctor who fled to North America as a refugee during the Civil War and becomes a resident physician in the emergency department of the fictional York Memorial Hospital in Toronto. Adjusting to a new Western environment, he must also overcome many obstacles to resume a career in the challenging world of emergency medicine.
Season 2 picks up where the first season left off, with Dr. Hamed and his colleagues reeling from Dr. Jed Bishop (John Hannah), the head of emergency medicine, suffers a stroke. With everything in the hospital thrown off balance, Hamad must deal with upheaval as he tries to adjust to his new life, while constantly reminded of his past in his war-torn homeland.
Fans of the series will see the main cast return. In addition to Hamza Haq, it includes Laurence Leboeuf like Dr. Mags Leblanc, Aisha Issa like Dr. June Curtis, Sirena Gulamgaus like Arima Hamed, jim watson as Dr. Theo Hunter, and The mummies trilogy John Hannah.
